Chemistry: Databases and Journals

Research guide for chemistry and to a lesser extent, chemical engineering.

Databases: Chemistry Specific

These are databases that can be used for finding articles in chemistry.  SciFinder is our most comprehensive database for finding literature in chemistry and chemical engineering.  While SciFinder is an abstract only database, we do have full text coverage of many American Chemical Society journals.

To look up or confirm the full title, title abbreviation, CODEN, ISBN, or ISSN codes for a chemistry publication, check the CAS Source Index (CASSI) Search Tool or the Beyond CASSI article. They contains a listing of publications indexed by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) since 1907.
