Zotero Citation Management

Download Zotero (desktop application) from www.zotero.org/download/. The plugins required to use Zotero with Microsoft Word should automatically be installed. 

Zotero Connector is an extension for your preferred browser that can be downloaded from the same place (www.zotero.org/download/). It allows you to save bibliographic information and PDFs from websites directly into your Zotero library. Installing the Chrome version also adds Zotero functionality to Google Docs. Installing the extension is highly recommended.

For phone or tablet use, Zotero for Mobile may also be downloaded (www.zotero.org/download/). Both iOS and Android versions are available.

To install Zotero, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of your browser and click on the Zotero setup file, or use File Explorer (or Finder on Mac) to navigate to the Downloads folder. Follow the prompts to install the desktop application.

To access your library from anywhere, register for a free Zotero account on the Zotero website (zotero.org).

Open the Zotero desktop app. Select Settings under the Edit tab in the toolbar (or choose Set up Syncing in the "Welcome to Zotero" screen if no libraries have been created).

Next, select Sync in the settings window and enter your username and password. 

Select both Sync Automatically and Sync full-text content.
